For instance, Adam P. raved about the amazing Tacos Arabes, highlighting the perfect pairing of grilled onions and chilis that elevate the experience. Katherine D. echoed this sentiment, noting the fresh ingredients and spicy green sauce that made her Al Pastor Tacos a standout, despite a slightly lengthy wait. It’s clear that patience is a virtue here, as the kitchen works diligently to deliver exquisite dishes that keep patrons coming back.
However, the clean, albeit simple decor does not overshadow the powerful flavors that sing to your soul. John B. emphasizes that despite the unremarkable exterior, it’s the tacos that steal the show, proving once again that the soul of Mexican food often lies in the small, family-run spots like this. Lisa M. experienced the joy of unexpectedly delightful Chicken Tacos, complete with sides of chipotle and green sauces, leaving her eager to explore the menu further.

“ Tacos Arabis amazing! Call ahead and take home. Order the grilled onions and chilis for the tacos with flour tortillas and lime and chipotle salsa. Amazing taste. ”
“ This place was really good. There are a few things to know about this place. They are super busy allllll day and have many orders coming in. We made our order 1 hour before we even got to the restaurant to have a sit down dinner. This was necessary as if we didnt we may not have been seated right away or eaten right away either. We got there exactly 1 hour after we had ordered. All their tables were full but we waited about 10 min to be seated and about another 10-15 to have our food placed on the table. We had made our order way in advance and they still got my order wrong. They did go and remake it ambut it took about 25 min to get a new plate. This was a bit disappointing as I would just have eaten the incorrect order if the new one would take so long. Overall for the food i got an order of al pastor tacos for 14$ and their order comes with 5 tacos which is a great deal. The tacos were very fresh and their green sauce was very spicy and delicious. The service was great as well. ”
“ Really great spot for authentic Mexican tacos! This place is tiny and doesn't look like much from the outside, but serves amazing food. The quality is always top notch and everything tastes fresh. I always gets tacos from here when I'm in the area. ”
“ This tiny place would be easy to pass without noticing it at all and if you did happen to notice it, you might offhandedly dismiss it as not worth going to. It would be easy to do. It is a tiny place and the outside does nothing to lure you in. The exterior is drab and beyond nondescript. Once you walk inside, it is not much better, though it is a little bit better (just a little bit better). With that being said, those who drove by this place without trying it, whether they never noticed the place or simply dismissed it, well, that is truly their loss. This tiny little place just reinforces my long standing belief that the best Mexican food comes from these tiny little hole-in-the-wall type places with little to no atmosphere. The food here is the real star at this place and out of those stars, I would say the tacos are the diva that stands head and shoulders above and shines the brightest. The tacos here are pretty spectacular. The only thing that I did not like was that you can't mix up the tacos, they do not offer them a la carte. I usually like a bit of variety. But, I guess it is what it is. With everything, there are highs and lows and when you are dealing with such quality food, you deal with it. If you find yourself close by and are craving some incredible Mexican food, head on over to the International Mexican Grocery. Just keep your eyes peeled and don't be discouraged when you see the place. This place is more about incredible food than ambiance and this food will sing to your soul and make you smile with every bite. I have to give it five stars () and my strong recommendation. Go check it out, you will not be disappointed. ”
“ Omg! The chicken taco was soo good. I've passed by this place so many times, and I had no idea about this place. I ordered four chicken tacos and added pineapples. I wanted to mix different tacos, but the lady said they don't do that. Another thing is they don't have any taco Tuesday special, which was a bit sad. Overall, the tacos were good, and I would order from here again. The prices were reasonable. I ordered four tacos, and I believe my total was about 12 dollars. I would recommend trying this place if you're in the mood for some good tacos. They also had in the refrigerator across from the register to ask for some sauces for your tacos. I asked for the red sauce, which I believe was called Chipotle sauce and the other one was green, but I don't remember what it was called. ”
“ Amazing authentic Mexican tacos can be found here with an English speaking cashier and menu - it's a "must try" spot!! This is one of those gems that only the locals usually know about. But it has grown in popularity and a favorite spot for NJ's Mexican population who travel here from all over the state for their tacos that remind them of home! You can watch the cooks shear the meat right before your eyes and load the meat into mini soft tortillas with onions and cilantro (and cheese if you ask for it). They stuff so much meat in these tacos that you can split each taco into two smaller tacos since they use 2 tortillas with each taco. Great for kids! You get 4 or 5 tacos per order which is less than $10. Incredible deal!! On your way out the English speaking cashier will take you to the refrigerator to pick out some sauce cups for you to take home. There are so many sauces to choose from. The orange one is really hot!!! You can ask her for help she choose a variety for me including mild. I would suggest getting between 1.5-2 sauce cups for EACH taco order. The dark red chipotle sauce was excellent too! I would suggest getting your tacos with cheese except the pork shoulder taco which comes with pineapple. I really enjoyed the tacos with steak or ribs the most. The chicken was great too! Highly recommend to try the food here. NOTE: This is NOT a restaurant. Yes there are a few casual tables here but seating but no waiters etc. ”
“ Very decent taco joint in Red Bank, that serves an assortment to please any taste. Drove by this place a million times not realizing just what they are about. You get to watch the kitchen prepare your goodies. We sampled five pastor (pork) and four pollo (chicken) little gems along with Coca Cola hecho en Mexico. Nice lunch for sure in this no frills tacoria. Just don't expect xtra plates or silverware unless you ask for them. BTW a couple of very tasty hot sauces to be had here. We will return! ”
“ Somehow it took over 4 years of living in Red Bank to try this place, maybe because of the name or the unassuming location, but well worth the wait. We came in on a Friday night around 8:30 and it was packed. We were lucky to grab a table after about 15 minutes. The "line" of people waiting for a table is kind of just a cluster of people standing all over the place so you just have to keep an eye out for a table. One thing I will say is this place is authentic and with that comes a staff that speaks mostly Spanish, so communication can be tough at times but we had no issues. I got the Al Pastor tacos, 5 for $11. My girlfriend got the Chicken tacos, 5 for $11. The Al Pastor were AWESOME. I loved them and liked the meat with pineapple and cilantro. My girlfriend really liked the chicken tacos as well, they were smothered in cheese. I enjoy the flour tacos as opposed to the corn tortillas used elsewhere. I am glad we came in and will come back again soon to try the Chorizo! ”
